סופרלנד | Superland

For the last week and a half, we have been volunteering at a summer school program at the Idanim School here in Ramla, helping to teach English to 7th grade students.

On Tuesday, as an end-of-session reward, they took the kids to Superland, which is a small amusement park in Rishon LeZion. They took us along as a thank-you for volunteering at the school.

I'll let the English translation of Superland's website speak for itself:
"Your screams will be heard in Kathmandu… Feel like getting your adrenalin sky high? Reach the limit? Experience crazy excitement in the coolest way possible? The Superland, an amusement and attraction park in western Rishon le Zion, feels just like being abroad. It's great for a fun Saturday with the kids, for teenagers and the whole family."
Sound too good to be true? Well it is. haha

It wasn't exactly the best amusement park I've ever been to, but it was still fun. They have one inverted roller coaster called Kumba (which I refused to ride) and one medium-sized roller coaster called Loop 2000, plus a pretty sweet log flume ride (possibly better than the Saw Mill Plunge at Lake Compounce) and a decent river raft ride called Congo, along with a few other smaller rides. They also have one of those giant bungee things, but none of us went on it.

At the end of the day, four of the kids didn't show up on time to meet the bus and one of the teachers had to go back into the park to find them, but other than that, it was a pretty fun trip.
